At Brize Norton Primary, we believe wholly in the benefits of physical education. Not only do we recognise the benefits being active has on our physical health but also the benefits it has on our mental wellbeing as well. As a school, all children take part in at least 2 hours of physical education as part of their curriculum provision. This may be through subject taught PE lessons, swimming, cycling proficiency and forest school to name but a few examples.
We also actively take part in a range of sporting events throughout the school year and regularly participate and compete in the Burford Partnership Sporting events. We aim for every child to have the opportunity to participate and compete in the wide variety of events on offer, which fosters self-confidence, empathy and understanding by encouraging children to work together and support each other.
