Welcome to Falcons Class We are a mixed Year 5/6 class who are working hard to support each other and to demonstrate the school rules of being Safe, Ready and Respectful. As the oldest children in the school, we strive to set high standards as a good example to children lower down the school.
Being the oldest children also means we have the opportunity to try different leadership roles, such as helping set up assemblies, helping organise younger children at playtimes and of course, being leading members of the school council.
We are increasingly independent in our learning and are becoming more confident to discuss where we are on our learning journey and what we need to do in order to make progress. We enjoy challenging ourselves in all subjects and know that with perseverance and resilience we will be able to achieve great things both in school and outs.
There is a team around the Falcons who support them in their own personal learning journeys led by myself, Mrs El-Masri, who as well as being the class teacher is also the Assistant Headteacher. Mrs Lawton teaches two afternoons a week and as a specialist PE teacher, enjoys teaching the class PE. We are also taught Music by Mrs Rathkey, who specialises and is passionate about music. Mrs Sutherland, Ms Kearvell and Mrs Hicks make up the teaching partners who also support throughout the course of the week.
