, we also have several high quality clubs offered by members of our team, as well as from external providers. We are always seeking to offer a range of clubs which are exciting and engaging as well as being excellent value for money. Updates on clubs will be sent out termly via the office with booking instructions.
Coming to Brize Norton Primary in the New Year is Adam Bradley’s After School Football club. This club is run by an external provider who runs this club to surrounding village schools in our partnership. The club is open to Years 1 to 6 and will take place on a Monday, 3:15 – 4:15. Mrs Lawton is one of our highly skilled Teaching Partners who is also a qualified secondary school PE teacher. Not only does she provide enrichment opportunities within the school day and across the classes, she also runs a multi-skills club on a Thursday afterschool which is offered to children in Hercules, Voyagers and Falcons. The sessions run 3:15 – 4pm and children need to bring a PE kit to change into if it does not coincide with their class PE days. Run by Mrs Stripe, one of our HLTAs, who is passionate about music and singing having studied it herself to a high level, the choir meet weekly to learn and sing a range of songs from a variety of genres: from musicals, to current pop songs, to well-known classics.
The choir has the opportunity to sing at school events as well as perform concerts to their families throughout the year. If your child loves to sing, then this club is a must! Places are limited to 20 for KS2 children and are allocated on a first come, first served basis termly. Letters are sent out via the office and should be returned to the office.
Ms Townsend is one of our Teaching Partners who is passionate about cooking. Not only does she lead the weekly cooking enrichment lessons for the classes, she also runs an after school club where the children make and cook a variety of savoury and sweet dishes as well as learn about kitchen hygiene and safety. Spaces are limited in this popular club due to the nature of the sessions and there is a cost of £20 for 6 weeks to cover the cost of ingredients. Letters are sent out termly.
